The International Federation of Hardware & Housewares Association
The IHA has three missions:
Preserve
Protect
Promote
The international standing of its national associations
The commercial prospects of their individual members
The consumer interest through good trading principles and environmental concern
In October 2021, following consultation with the IHA Managing Committe and members, as well as discussion with the General Secretary of EDRA/GHIN, it was agreed that the IHA would become an active member of the Global Home Improvement Network (GHIN).
It was long felt that this merger would take the IHA to the next level and ensure that the independently run home improvement companies around the world have their place on the global stage. It was also felt that aligning the IHA organization with GHIN (and by extension the European DIY Retail Association/ EDRA) would provide greater access to information and resources for our members.
